HOW DO I PERCEIVE MYSELF AS A STUDENT ?

30 April 2011 is a date that I was registered into the UNITEN Muadzam Shah, Pahang. During studying at UNITEN for two trimesters, I can perceive myself which I can be an independent person because for me, I can do anything without helping from my parents or friends as long as I can.
Besides that, I also learnt how to manage the time properly to do the homework or assignment, study and hang out with my friends. Time management is very important for to avoid any problems that I will face. In addition, think rationally also I can see in myself as a student because I will think wisely and make any decision properly before I do any results based on the situation that I faced.
As a student, I perceive myself that I will pay 100% attention in the class for every subject that I have learnt. Nevertheless, if got a bad result like last trimester one of the subjects that I took, I never give up and I will get down to brass tacks in my study to achieve my target for the second trimester to get a good result.
That is what I perceive myself as a student.

THE GROUP PRESENTATION ON 21ST NOVEMBER 2011...

2 o’clock the English class was started on Monday which we have to wear the formal dress as usual. The group presentation is about the topic that has been given in the English  text book which is

  • You are What You Wear
  • You are What You Eat
  • You are What You Drive
  • You are What You Sit

My group is the first group that will present about 'You are What You Wear'. My group members are Nishaminni, Nurhafizah, NurNadea, Nurul Nadia and me, Nursyahirah Farhana. Nishaminni is a presenter for our group that will be presented by using the power point. Nishaminni did it very well for the presentation. The explanation that she made is the comparison of the meaning for every colour, for instance blue, brown, gold, and so on. This comparison can reflect out looking and emotion based on the colour of dress that we wear. I wore the blue baju kurung which mean the person who looks like peaceful.

Another group also presented about 'You are What You Wear' which same topic with my group. But their points are different with my group and they explained about the comparison of the people by looking their status, age, and so on when they are wearing the clothes.

SPEAKERS’ CORNER…

31st October 2011 is my special day. Why I said that date is my special day? Because, I have a speakers’ corner and I present in front of my classmate about the special day confidently. My special day was happened in this year from January until April 2011 before I entered to the UNITEN. I have shared my special day with my beloved lecturer, Madam Umi Kalsom and friends about ‘My First Job as an Operator’.
Before the English class start, I took my time to practise in front of my friends, Nishaminni and Hafizah before I present my speakers’ corner. Nishaminni was checked my pronunciation and I tried to remember my text. But I did not remember the whole text and I decided to make my own sentence. After a few minutes, Madam Umi entered to the class and suddenly I felt nervous but I still can control it. Then, Madam Umi called my name and I stood up in front of my friends. I started to share my special day with the greeting and introduction.
Everyone in the class focused on me and they listened to my speaking that I have shared with them. This special day is only about me and my experiences as a part time operator at the Japanese Company. This job thought me to be an independent person and how difficult to earn the pocket money as an operator.
Around 3 minutes I present my special day and I felt satisfied with my presentation because I have a confident to speak in English in front of my lecturer and my friends. In addition, I think I have an improvement in my speaking compared to the previous trimester. Lastly, I never forget about my presentation in the English class which is my special day.

MALAYSIAN UNIVERSITY ENGLISH TEST (MUET)!!

11 November 2011 is the date that makes me felt nervous and afraid because I have a MUET examination which is speaking at Examination Hall 1 in Wisma. I am the second session that will be started on 11 a.m. and also I am the third group that was entered into the examination hall.
After the first and the second group finished their speaking test, one of the invigilators called the third group to start that speaking test. Then, I am the first person that will be started the speaking. So, that is mean, I am a candidate A. After a few minutes, we read the question for two minutes and the topic that we got is ‘What is The Challenges For Students When Studying Abroad’. Next, I write down my point from the main point given which is ‘Homesickness’.
I felt like a butterfly in a stomach when I want to start my speaking test in two minutes for task A. I did not get many points, so I just elaborate my point as many as I can even though my heartbeat is too fast then before. Then, the candidate B started her speaking after I have done my speaking followed by candidate C and D.
Task b is for discussion. We have to discuss each other about the main point given and we also can defend our main point from the task A. We have to discuss the main point in 10 minutes. Unfortunately, I did not have the conclusion because the time was over. After the speaking test is finished, I felt thankful because that test has been finished and my nervous level started decrease slowly.
